Maximize thermal efficiency, control condensation, and reduce energy loss in your commercial and industrial piping systems. AFICO Heavy Density Pipe Insulation (HDI) is a premium, molded fiberglass insulation section designed specifically for high-performance piping networks.

Manufactured from fine, inorganic glass fibers bonded with a thermosetting resin, these rugged, heavy-density sleeves are pre-slit with a single longitudinal joint for fast installation. They deliver outstanding thermal resistance, structural durability

AFICO Heavy Density Insulation is engineered to withstand the mechanical demands of busy industrial environments while keeping energy costs to an absolute minimum:

Superior Thermal Efficiency: Low thermal conductivity ( $\lambda$ ) prevents heat gain in chilled water lines and limits heat loss in hot water, steam, and process piping systems.
Excellent Density & Structural Rigidity: Unlike standard light-weight glass wool, the heavy-density composition of AFICO HDI resists compression under localized physical impacts and hanger loads, keeping its full insulation thickness intact.
Fire Safe & Non-Combustible: Inherently non-combustible. Rated with excellent flame-spread and smoke-developed indices, meeting strict international building codes and ASTM standards for commercial installations.
Moisture & Condensation Control: When specified with an ASJ/FSK (All-Service Jacket / Foil-Scrim-Kraft) vapor barrier, it provides a highly effective seal that prevents condensation on cold operating pipes, protecting your system from corrosion under insulation (CUI).

Technical Specifications & Compliance :

Fast, Split-Tube Installation: Each 1-meter (or 3-foot) section is pre-molded to fit securely over standard copper, steel, or plastic pipe dimensions. The pre-slit design allows installation crews to snap the insulation directly over the pipe, instantly securing it with the integrated self-sealing lap (SSL).

Service Temperature Range: Suitable for operating temperatures ranging from -18°C up to 450°C (0°F to 850°F).
Acoustic Absorption: The fibrous glass structure naturally dampens fluid flow noise and mechanical pipe vibrations, creating a quieter building interior.
Inert Materials: Formulated to be non-corrosive to copper, steel, and aluminum pipes, with high resistance to mold, mildew, and bacterial growth.
