Prevent costly fluid leaks and protect your rotating shafts under extreme operating conditions. Our Graphite Gland Packing is braided from high-purity, flexible graphite yarns to deliver an elite sealing barrier for high-temperature, high-pressure pumps, valves, and agitators.

Engineered for Extreme Environments :

Standard PTFE or aramid packings degrade when temperatures rise. Flexible graphite is specifically engineered to thrive where other materials fail:

Outstanding Thermal Limits: Retains its flexibility and sealing integrity in temperatures up to 455°C (850°F) in atmosphere, and up to 650°C (1200°F) in steam or non-oxidizing environments.
Excellent Thermal Conductivity: Dissipates friction-generated heat quickly away from the shaft and stuffing box. This cooling effect extends the life of both the packing and the sleeve.
Self-Lubricating & Friction-Free: Naturally low coefficient of friction minimizes startup torque, reduces drive motor power consumption, and eliminates the localized heat buildup that causes shaft scoring.
Near-Universal Chemical Resistance: Resistant to almost all industrial chemicals, solvents, corrosive acids, alkalis, oils, and high-pressure steam (with the exception of strong oxidizers).

Key Technical Specifications :

Reduced Maintenance and Adjustment: Flexible graphite has excellent volumetric stability. It does not shrink, cold-flow, or dry out over time, which means far fewer gland-follower adjustments are required after initial installation compared to traditional PTFE-asbestos replacements.

pH Range Compatibility: 0 to 14 (fully compatible across the entire pH spectrum, except for highly concentrated oxidizing chemicals).
Shaft Speed Limits: Suitable for high-velocity rotary applications up to 20 m/s (4000 fpm).
Pressure Limits: Capable of sealing pressures up to 30 bar in rotary pumps, and up to 300+ bar when wire-reinforced in static control valves.
